I started my insurance career in 2011 as a non-standard auto franchise owner, after working 23 years as a General Manager for a large retail appliance chain.
In 2013 I went to work for an Allstate agent as a producer and that’s when I fell in love with the standard market insurance and decided that’s where I need to be. 10 months later, I opened my own independent insurance agency with my sister Christine Douglas and 4 months later our friend Joe Leduc joined as a partner.
8 years later we have embraced just about all the new insuretech that is available and have transformed into a digital agency. It doesn’t make us less personable, in fact it’s just the opposite, it helps us engage with our clients more and helps manage our marketing, tasks, and leads more efficiently.
What’s really nice about having all the technology at your fingertips, is we’re always finding new ways to use it and it feels like the possibilities are endless.
